Working Together to Build Together

Winter is for the birds – and we mean that in a good way!

With bare trees and snow-covered landscapes providing little camouflage, winter is a great time to bird watch.

On the other hand, winter is a very fragile time for Canada’s wild birds. Wintering birds have adapted well to survive the coldest months, but that doesn’t mean we humans can’t chip in to ensure they have adequate food, water and roosting spots.

Here’s three ways to help:

  1. :hammer: Build a bird feeder

  2. :bird: Feed the birds

  3. :house: Shelter the birds

Sometimes the old adage is true: If you build it, they will come.

Do you feed the birds over the winter?
