Today, the Government of Ontario released Preserving and Protecting our Environment for Future Generations: A Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan, articulating its road map to protect our air, land and water and reduce litter and waste while lowering greenhouse gas emissions and helping communities protect themselves from climate change.
The plan addresses four main areas:
- Protecting our Air, Lakes and Water
- Addressing Climate Change
- Reducing Litter and Waste in our Communities and Keeping our Land and Soil Clean
- Conserving Land and Greenspace
The plan is now open for 60 day comment until the end of January 2019.
