How do you communicate your evaluation findings – if at all?

Lots of time and resources are spent planning for and, eventually, administering an evaluation. What I’ve heard less about are the plans to digest the results and consider ways in which to incorporate what has been learned, for better programming.

Having a plan to disseminate your evaluation results is considered good evaluation practice; Google searches for “communicating evaluation results” and “evaluation dissemination plan” return many results with helpful resources.

Key to communicating your findings are the following questions:

  • What was the objective of the evaluation?
  • Who are the key stakeholders?
  • How will the results be presented?
  • What are the implications? (i.e. how does this inform future practice?)
