This week I started talking about a project with colleague. Someone from a different department, that I usually wouldn’t typically consult with or get feedback from. This was such a productive conversation. Turns out this colleague had relevant past experience (different from her current role) that I vaguely remember hearing about, but forgot. My colleague provided some really great advice that really helped take this project in a new direction and I think will really improve it.
So, today’s tip: Ask for help and advice from people beyond your usual circle. They might surprise you with the insights they can bring to your work. Whether your planning an evaluation, a presentation or report, or interpreting data, a fresh new perspective can be really helpful.
